Pending Current Registrar Approval – Godaddy – Domain Transfer

Are you transferring a domain after it has been expired? Domain transferring does not happen in an instant. Small time registrars take a longer time to respond or help in transferring a domain from them. They prefer not to assist you at all and treat you as an long time enemy. You end up with innumerable calls and email exchange finally with no fruitful result.

Recently, I did a domain transfer from ManasHosting to Godaddy. First of all it took me a month to reach a person who was aware of what I was speaking and what a domain transfer is all about. After this, he assured me that he would assist me in the transfer. But I finally found that the domain control access itself has been denied. I had to make repeated calls again to find out the Transaction ID and Security Code that was sent by Godaddy. I finally thought all this is over.

But that was not the case. I still needed an Authorization Code. Where do I get this authorization code? I had to again call up the registrant and ask for this. When I was finally able to get this, I ended up in distress to find out a new message poping out of the control panel.

“Pending Current Registrar Approval” “Accept transfer at current registrar”

What was this now? It has been like this for the last 4 days. How long should I wait? Is it not that easy as accepting the transfer clicking on a button? Why does it take so long? When I wrote to GoDaddy they said it would take four days. Does it mean four working days?

Difference between Server RAM and Desktop RAM

Did you ever know that the Server RAM is much different from the Desktop RAM? Yes, the Server RAM is different and slower than the Desktop RAM. The Desktop RAM is built for speed. However, the Server RAM is optimized for crash resistance and loss of data.

The Server RAM usually contains ECC – Error Correcting Code. ECC also commonly called EDAC protected memory helps correct parity errors which makes ECC RAM less vulnerable to loss of data, data corruption and possibility of a crash. This makes Server RAM much safer. Due to the implementation of ECC, these RAMs are a bit slower than their Desktop counterparts and are pretty expensive too.

On the other hand, Desktop RAMs are manufactured for speed. These RAMs neither have ECC or are they compatible. Hence Desktop RAMs are faster than a Server RAM however, prone to crash or data loss when subjected to higher amounts of stress. ECC Memory would not be supported by Desktop Motherboards and the BIOS. Hence it is advisable to check if your motherboard and BIOS supports one if you are planning to make your desktop into a server.

SEO-Mind.com

Or

seo-mind.com

Which one is more appealing and readable? Yes, the first one is. However, would it have an effect in search results? Would any problems arise capitalizing URLs?

Well, the common advantages and disadvantages are listed below.

Advantages:

  • The URLs are clear and readable.
  • Abbreviations when capitalized can give more priority in search engines

Individual words can be separated and shown to search engines which can help better rankings

Disadvantages:

  • Though domains are not case sensitive, URLs in many cases are case sensitive and leads visitors to a 404 page when they access the page directly
  • Multiple indexing of URLs can occur in search engines which would result in duplication
  • Visitors who remember URLs or would like to inform another user would find it difficult to convey or access the page

In recent times, most of the webmasters have resorted to lower case URLs or forcing lower case URLs for their domains. Most of the open-source blogs and forums have also provided strict lower case URL generators.

Yahoo Sitemap Http Https Issue

Yahoo Sitemaps are excellent to know the number of external and internal links a website has. Yahoo Sitemaps is similar to Google’s Webmaster Tools.

Recently, Sitemap users have reported that Yahoo counts https://www.example.com URLs along with regular http://www.example.com URLs. As a result, the URLs are duplicated and the sites are being penalized.

In certain cases, URLs without www are counted. Hence, http://www.example.com and http://example.com are considered as two URLs.

Resolution:
To resolve this issue,
1. Always use canonical URLs and avoid using page name URLs.
2. Use proper server side URL redirects
3. Block all secure pages using proper tags in robots.txt file
