Top Most Firing IT Companies in India
1) IBM — Right now this is the most firing company for IT professionals.
In the last 6 months, this company has fired nearly 20% of their employees
because of BG check and performance issues. This is the most insecure
company from an IT professional’s point of view. They don’t have any
strategic plans at HR policies regarding employee security. No appraisals
(maximum 10%).
2)TCS — Previously it was an government IT Company . Now a days TCS also
becoming firing IT company. Recently they fired around 500 people.( employees
below 2 years of experience) and TCS lost many projects
recently( especially British Telecom Projects).
3) Accenture — This is second top most firing company. The firing rate
is around 10%. This depends upon outsourced projects; they have a unique
system where Accenture development centers around the world bid for a
project coming into the company. Currently Philippinescentre is taking the
cake and the Indian centers are in a firing mode.
4) WIPRO — Firing people with very frequent back ground checks and
firing them with out even experience letters and relieving letters (will
mention as terminated from services)but will promise the employees that
they will retain them. After the project is over they will fire away. Will
threaten of criminal cases against such employees if they oppose the move
and has also filed against some.
5) Intel — Recently joined the league. Running in heavy losses, hence
firing 3000 employees in the Banglore center in a phased out manner.
6) CTS — Has a steady firing policy (checking the Educational background
and previous employment and also employee performance in work). In a
Recent HCL walk-in, around 50% attendees were from this company. Sadly the
I-pods have not helped them.
7) CSC — Excellent package but fires folks in Background check and those
on bench regularly. Recently fired 400+ employees from its subsidiary
Covansys.
8) Satyam — Currently stopped firing. The Attrition rate is very high.
No firing from 2005 until now when 1000 employees were fired in Hyderabad.
10) Patni —- They fired so many employees that currently they are facing
understaffing and deficiency with number of employees. Very high attrition
rate.
11) Keane India —- This USA based company is always involved in firing
employees. Although they proudly say that they dont have hire and fire
policy. Recently they fired java and as400 professionals after which most
of the employees have started to pack their bags. Employees change this
company within 1 year. So take care before accepting offers from these
companies.
Secure IT Companies in India
1) Microsoft — Has projects till 2050. Who knows? What happened to
yahoo can happen to Microsoft even tommorow
2) EDS — Most secure company in India. Not laid off any of its employees
even during 2001. Has lots of projects in Defense and financial areas
3) HP — Dream Company. In-house and outsourced projects
4) Infosys — Dream Job. On a way to achieve the status of a secured,
stable Govt. company. But have to work from 9AM to 9PM.
Suitable for the workaholics alone.
5) AOL, Google and Yahoo - Best companies to work with, great job
satisfaction as well as great salary and work environment. Rarely fires an
employee. As they are internet based companies’ they offer lots of
opportunities to grow.
6) HCL — A good company to be in. Called as a “retirement company.” Nothing
much happens there
7) HSBC— This is the most secure company. It has never fired any
employee, even when they know that the employee is showing fake
experience.
8) Aricent— a communication based software company, has never fired any
employee and gives great perks & incentives, lot of projects in kitty.
Minimal level of attrition.
9) KPIT Cumminns Infosystems Limited —- This is the most secure company
not known to many. It has presently acquired CG Smith, Bangalore and has
lots of projects in pipe line. Acquisitions plans will continue.

Laterals.., Never believe Wipro HR policies.., its like a snake.. will only bite you at the end of the day..no job security at Wipro for Laterals…
If required, they may help you manipulate your CV during recruitment (seen such cases..was also was part of selection process at times 3 to 5 yrs back, plz don’t blame me- instructions given to me are like that) this is not to help you !!!! believe me. You are in trouble if you do this and join Wipro.
When few companies use performance as basis for freeing the free pool/ firing technique with prior notice saying your project got over. But Wipro gets your old record itself to downsize their the freepool. It fired few with above 5yrs of working in Wipro not based on performance.
Now they have about 8 thousand in freepool. they fire a reasonable number for their convenience, later they will stop firing for some time. Again if the pool size goes up they again fire few more. They do BG checks before appraisals. BG checks done at Wipro are multiple…twice in every year..when they don’t need you at some particular point of time…then you are gone in next BG cycle..otherwise why after 5 BG checks they are firing now during 6th cycle? Cheap tricks.
One provide a great dinner and makes you sleepless whole night, rest of your life…

They will keep your BG in hold if you are to deliver somework for next week then after your work gets over they talk about integrity in the discussion with you…. means they don’t bother about your personal life commitments/ notice period but they do what’s convenient to them. INTEGRITY !!
They don’t mind to update incorrect reports at entry, but once they find you heavy…they talk about integrity. Where is the very word INTEGRITY..
when they are recruiting altered CVs when they require you saying “Walk in and take the offer”? INTEGRITY !!
Suggesting altering CVs for the current requirement? INTEGRITY !!
When they are making people work at onsite on B1 visas? INTEGRITY !!
Billing unutilized hrs? INTEGRITY !!
Billing leave days? INTEGRITY !!
Using WASE students for full time work along with an employee still saying employee benefits won’t apply to you because you are still a student and you are paid stipend? Suck their blood and pay peanuts!! ITS ALL INTEGRITY !!
Now…ask a goodhike for your performance or ask for onsite or ask for a release or ask for good role in the team or ask for a long leave for personal reason…. they still can do this firing action—-cheap management.
The leader has money to invest his vision get profits but no human values. I don’t know where he want to take India with profits and no human values.
I don’t want to support who do CV alterations…but
India is a developing country…The quality process you set up should balance the rate the country is developing… Only fools expect a 100% quality just overnight…it should be convincing to both parties as both involved in the fraud…under the roof called Interview process.
Mr. X is getting salary for the work he/she do AND You will be paid profits by clients for the work Mr. X has done for you.
At some point of time after few yrs if
You say Mr. X is false now and you fire/ terminate Mr. X or His career(if you believe it is legal) AND what should the client do(ing) to you? …is he terminating your contract or going to fight legal against you for the false info you provided to client about Mr. X as you are responsible here and billed Mr. X accordingly?
In any situation Mr. X the looser because Mr. X befriended with Viper(wipro)?
Don’t blame talent just for the sake of your profits/ cost cutting/ etc.
No one will remain in the organization where job security is poor. They only spend time for salary…give him job security then you will get worth of it, if you don’t understand what is its worth, don’t ask you will be there where you are now or even down.
For example: When there are 10000 specialists in a technology, already in work with different services companies. Let’s say each company got new projects offshored, and let us say all companies require about just 100 laterals. Do laterals born just because you wanted them now????? Even if you get few laterals from other companies…the same case is with other companies…so if you can understand this equation you can understand how you are encouraging a talent to do a mistake… in India we already have hell lot of problems…this is a professional way of encouraging a talent to do mistake, putting him in trouble.
Warn him before doing a mistake but don’t give him a chance to do a mistake then end his life. It is like selectively ending career of a talented Indian. What do you think he will do after this action?
I don’t blame who cook their CV….I blame only the leader who is greedy about his own company growth not having a vision ‘where he is taking his country’s talent to’…being in an inspiring position….
One who can cook his CV in just few days is equating himself with who have experience in Years….now tell me who is talented/ hard worker/ responsible?? Keep your integrity, Human values aside. cause they are said and not done at wipro anyway….they would have made to understand by everyone in high level management not just limited to poster publicity like a movie publicity. One who is working in Wipro is not happy and outside not happy. Why still talk about Human Values??
Don’t we know WIPRO was never in top 10 best employers in India inspite of its long career in IT?

In down time before 2003… IIT pass outs, BITSians, NITans, University toppers do not have opportunity to work..its not that they are not talented,,its only lack of opportunity…
Now even a normal degree student with bare minimum percentage is getting a job as a fresher. Its pure luck..and who depend only on luck is the worst of its kind, I believe.
At least Indian services companies should realize that India is still middle class…don’t expect a professional who is from middle class, give him a chance and see…he will be the best out of all.
…. Don’t spoil a talented ones with such un realistic mechanism and ultimately don’t give them a chance to become criminals….
Fight for human values but for that don’t do fight against human.

You cannt count on these private companies. They are giving you a job and its upto them to terminate it and kick you off without any reason being mentioned. This is,I think, what the word “private” is meant for, if I am not bad in English.
As U said, few years back even IITians didnt used to get a job, now even a fresher does, so be thankful to the IT boom and the companies like Wipro,Infosys to make it happen, otherwise many of the so called TALENTED guyz sitting in AirConditioned office and blaming their own company and posting such blogs thru internet using the company’s resources only, these guyz probably would have been lied somewhere on the corner of streets without a job.
If U think U have got the potential, don’t depend on a private company to help U bring ur potential out. India severely need potential guyz at this hour and U gotta show it off on ur own rather than blaming some pvt company that it kicked ur ass off jus when ur potent was about to come with flying colors.
We as an Indian rarely take gratitude for the favors done to us and that makes our poor image even worse.Its Mr Azim Premjee’s Wipro who has put India on a global map, not guyz like U who r putting such a blog abt their own company, and we cann’t understand what it takes to be Mr Azim Premji.
They r not born everyday.
So buddy, learn to take some gratitude and give some respect to someone who did some favor to U.. !!

There are companies which kick the ass for very stupid things…
And if everyone become Ajit Premji… then who are goin to work….
Understand the sentiments of the writer…. He has listed the support(encouragement) shown to acquire a person X and at the same time, the same reason is shown to kick him out….
If all the farmers think of making money without growing anything and acting a intermediate channel… then where is the food item to sell…
If you are in a company like Accenture, then you would have already been kicked out for opening this blog, forget your saying ( Show gratitude for the comapany giving opportunity).
Frank… would have shown gratitude … if the claimed company was giving an opportunity to prove that the candidate is not wrong / if wrong, a sufficient minimal period for the candidate to look up for some other opportunity….
By this time Frank would have prayed to JESUS: Make Amit in a dead need of Salary and kick him out of the company without a minute of notice on a salary day… The situation would be Amit would meet JESUS at the EOD…..
Look into the sentiment of a person… Who has served the company ( Pvt / Public), if a person has taken a deep ownership that it is his company and he should be part of the development of the company, he would have worked 12+hrs a day meeting all his projects/ clients tough demands, helping his team mates and when the project is over.. the final day… This person would be in a lot of joy with a lot of praise from the client and he is also happy for increasing the Company’s trust(this is gratitude) to the client.
Do you expect the company to kick your ass (on that final day) for doing this service…..
Look Mr.Amit… X is not just losing a job. He is a very capable person. That is what brought him into your company. He can get another job within no time. But he will lose confidence on the entire system.
One big man said : Love your job, not the company.
Guyz… You are tend to lose job though you work too much or not at all…. Dont lose your life for the company… As per Amit it is Pvt… So keep it pvt and dont work for the company.. work for your pvt…
Anyway the days are already tough for such great firing companies…. They keep on Advt for new people as they have kicked great talents out… As the people are talented… only opportunists are taking it up.. Real talents are not opting for these companies in this new trend….
There will be days… where these firings will have to fire themseleves out of the market losing the trust of the employees.
Mr.Amit… a number of such Franks is Mr.Premji…. He is not producing with a single hand…
If all these Franks become Premji.. then Premji will become Frank…. Amit will become JESUS…
The basic Human value he was talking is…. The Employee is being hit deep inside in the name of Fire… Sensitivity in the person can lead to any disastrous situation…. So if Mr.Don really wants to have great people, then he can kick him in a better softer way… After all we are all human and we are working for betterment of things together with a good team spirit… and we should have humanity towards our neighbouring human… else you may become JESUS or he may become JESUS by accident….

Amit, actually everyone has gratitude for their comp (good or bad). Problem is the way comp do firing.
If everyone will become entrepreneur like Azim Premji who will work as s/w engg? when they give job to so many people they should think what will hapen to those people (and their families) when fired?
Has anyone heard of Quark Inc. which managed to do a bulk firing of some 400-600 employee in one day. and managed to reduce its headcount from 2000+ to 200+ in less than 1 year. I know lots of people (who felt heat) they still say its good comp but worst part is the way/reason for which they fire.

Guys, did anyone of you hear/know what Sapient did recently?
See what happened…
1. You reach your office at 9:00 in the morning;
2. Being called in for a meeting with the director;
3. Told that SAPIENT is RESTRUCTURING itself;
4. So needs to kick your sorry ass out;
5. As you were on bench for 1 month;
6. Doesn’t matter if you were actually being assigned a new project by the end of the week itself;
7. Doesn’t matter if your project manager does not acually know anything about what firing session is actually about to start;
8. You are in tears and shock after the news;
9. You are NOT ALLOWED to return to your desks after the news is broken to you;
10. YOU ARE ESCORTED VIA THE BACK DOOR TO THE COMPANY GATE, as if you had lost your way in and the company needs to make sure so one sees you on the way out. All you PERSONAL STUFF is lying outside the gate when you reach there while escorted;
11. You are given a month’s time of sitting at you home and told to never report during that time.
12. Your peers lucky to be still inside are being given direct warnings telling the “YOU ARE NEXT”!!
13. Your CEO channels a mail nationwide Sapient, justifying the action taken, backing it up with the positive changes in the offing…
14. You get your letters etc delivered @ home, being printed and delivered by an outsourced firm specializing in carrying out this ‘DIRTY WORK’;
15. You are still jobless wondering what the hell went wrong with your work and job;
16. You are insecure, hopeless, and apprehensive about tomorrow…
And the SAPIENT towers stand tall and are still going strong with the axe, cutting all roots, and employees who don’t matter anymore …
Freshers just out of college, 2 years, 3 years, 5 years XP holders.. it just doesn’t matter…
So SAPIENT, why are you not in the list above?

U guessed right. I am in a comfortable position as of today, and if I fail to continue with the same, I really need to work on myself rather than praying to God for getting me my good days back. Probably JESUS helps only guys like U who really need Him even for searching stuffs in google, but sadly ur Jesus never helped me in that way.
If my company fires me, I gotta move on to get a new job. May be too much of a big deal for U, not for me,not for many others like me.

Not its ur time to give back and return the favor rather than asking from the company all the time for job security and good work.If wipro will run its business as per Manu’s demand, Mr Premjee will join the pool of job seekers in few days. In case Wipro fires U if its busines demands it to do so, take gratitude for the good time it had given to U and move on for ur next job hunt.Jus imagine where U would have been if U wldnt have got a job in Wipro !
If u r competent, U r secure.. no matter what company U work for. If not, better work on urself rather than blaming the company for not giving U a good job.If U dont like the company, leave it, who stops U?

Tell me one thing guys….what is the basis of this data? This list of the most trusted and most untrusted companies comes from what source? Is there a Forrester Research? Is it a Business Today study? WHAT? You cant write anything that you wish for. I am working for one of these companies that you have mentioned and am in half a mind to sue you!!!
Furthermore, I would be worried about firings if I was not honest to my job. NO COMPANY feels comfortable to let go of good people. Given the money spent on hiring them and training them and with the fear of internal information reaching competitors. And if there was a cut….hell we are Indians….the best of the IT breed in the world. There are more than 50000 IT companies listed in India (NASSCOM) and I am sure that some of these companies would be more than ready to get some good talents like you
Stop whining guys….life is not about thinking how to avoid losing….but about winning….and being happy
